Put the sliced yam in a clean pot, then pour water into the pot, add palm oil, fresh onions, fresh pepper, seasoning I use normal Knorr and then a pinch of salt and allow to boil for 10 minutes with low heat to avoid burning.

Allow to boil then add the fish, crayfish, taste for salt and allow to cook for the next ten to fifteen minutes, then you add the sweet potatoes, I added the sweet potatoes last because it gets soft easily.
After 10 minutes you can pierce with a cooking knife to know if the yam and potatoes are soft enough for consumption.
We are almost done with making our porridge, then start stirring everything together with a wooden turner until it thickens into a porridge.
When you are done then you add the vegetables, allow to simmer for 3 minutes .
